Comedy marketing that makes you look twice

A project with multiple moving parts: the special was to be shot across two days and four shows. given the shows were a month apart from each other, this project required us to think about how to maintain audience engagement for the bigger project while trying to advertise a single portion of it at a time.
solution
Comedy is timing, and so is design. This project understood that people don't just want to see the same thing twice—they want to see the same thing differently. We gave them evolution, not repetition. Each show had it's own poster and aesthetic while carefully building up the overall visual aesthetic and tone of the special.
Project collaborators: Muhammad Jr and Zaid Ragesh
Each design added a new layer to the story, rewarding fans who paid attention while staying accessible to those discovering the work for the first time. The posters became collectible moments in their own right.
Working across two shows gave us permission to experiment within structure, to find the sweet spot between surprise and familiarity.
