[Untitled] Afro Test

Was listening to Melvitto's For Days and was inspired to make an afrobeat type of song. Still unclear about the vocal side of things but I like the sound so far.
It's got a little bit of a traditional ethiopian dance song (that came completely by accident, can't hate on it though) that I think I can build up on. Maybe this is a fusion ting.

Coffee Cold Ones

Galt McDermot's jazz tune, Coffee Cold has the craziest piano chords that just kept playing in my head for the past few days.
I've been trying to turn it into a hip-hop tune for the longest time but couldn't figure out the drums for it. I think I've finally landed on something that I'm comfortable with…for now. This is the third drum pattern I've made for this track. I like the lyrics I've written to it though.

Zomaye

I went to a house and techno party yesterday. And I've also been listening to Phelexiyos' Addis Mix and have been so inspired to make Ethio-house music. I feel like this is a new direction that Ethiopian music is embracing. And it's also at a point where we can take it from local to global.
Zomaye is my attempt at that. Gigi's beautiful voice can def be raved to. Trying out different patterns to see what can work.

Jon Seetram at his finest!! This track honestly feels so complete already. Produced by Jon, I chose the sample and wrote some lyrics to it and he truly went off. To top it off, he wrote a crazy hook that I can't get out of my head.
His flow in my opinion is 10/10 and the whole production goes so well with the sample.
